Moderation policy

To ensure the conversation remains appropriate, intelligent and lawful, discussions in this forum are actively moderated by Mosman Council’s web team. We are concerned with the quality of the discussion not the interests of one individual, group or idea over another.

We will edit or remove a contribution that:

1. is off-topic
2. is defamatory, abusive, harassing or hateful
3. includes any abusive, obscene, indecent or offensive language
4. endorses commercial products or activities or solicits business
5. violates copyrights or other forms of licences and consents
6. invades anyone’s privacy, reveals the identity of another user or impersonates anyone
7. encourages conduct that may or would constitute a criminal offence or give rise to civil liability, or that otherwise violates any local, state, national or international law or regulation anywhere in the world

We will state publicly when and why a contribution has been edited or removed.

To encourage discussion, contributions are not pre-moderated; that is, contributions are published online as soon as the member submits their post. Please be aware that contributions contrary to the moderation policy may be visible for a short time. You can click the ‘Report comment’ link next to these contributions to send an email alert to the moderators. Our response may be slower out of business hours.
